Facebook has confirmed that it is considering removing the number of likes in the user’s news feed, in order to prevent competition and the desire to share content just to rake likes and sympathies.
The company is already conducting a similar experiment on Instagram in 7 different countries, including Brazil and Canada, where only the list of users who made Lake without the number summary in action is shown. In a photo posted by a Weber by the name of Jen Wang, Facebook seems to be planning a similar move in the world’s largest social media news feed.
According to the company, this would reduce the publication of fake news, or statuses just for the purpose of obtaining large likes. In addition, the move aims to reduce the deletion of posts by users who have not received enough likes or shares in the minutes after posting, a familiar phenomenon that occurs quite a bit on the social network.
Facebook has not released when the change will actually begin and says it is only a test and test in a very limited experimental group.
