After several beta versions, Apple released iOS 14.2 for iOS devices, with some updates and enhancements. The most notable feature is the addition of more than a hundred new emojis of animals, food, faces, musical instruments and objects.

In addition, eight new wallpapers have been added, some of them landscapes and some more picturesque, which change depending on the device’s setting for day / night mode. In the area of iPhone 12 enhancements, support has been added for displaying people’s distance using the LiDAR sensor on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro models, as well as support for the magnetized card holder on the back of the device via MagSafe . An optimal charging mode has also been added to the AirPods headphones to prevent battery aging, and an alert has been added to warn if the volume is too high and may damage hearing.

In addition to these, Apple has also released an update for the HomePod and for Apple TV 4K streams. The iPadOS 14.2 for iPads and watchOS 7.1 for the company’s watches, which also adds alerts when listening at high volume for a long time and also adds ECG support and alerts about abnormal heart rate in Russia and Korea. In addition, problems have been fixed in releasing the computer lock using the watch and on screens that do not turn on when lifting the arm in series 6 watches. Another small change is in the Apple Watch app on iPhones, which now displays a watch logo with the new Solo Loop strap instead of Sport Loop in previous versions.
